NOODLES RAMEN

Artist's Statement

Noodles Ramen Shop approached us with the need for a graphic logo that integrated with their current identity — aka tasty noods! It needed to be applied to promotional materials, T-shirts, packaging, and wall art.

We ended up designing them a new logo that incorporated their current name and chosen typeface. The wife fancied a particular French black cat (Le Chat Noir), which also made its way into the designs. A motion graphic for their X page was also created.

The logo is bright, colorful, and playful, and it focuses on what they do best — ramen noodles. It's all there: the well-cared for and well-placed noodles, the soy sauce-soaked soft-boiled egg, the soft, melt-in-your-mouth chyashu pork meat, and a sheet of nori seaweed for good measure and flair.

This was my favorite bowl of 醤油ラーメン (Soy Sauce Ramen) in my town of Machida, and I gladly reciprocated with their offer. The extra side dish of, first boiled, then grilled with sauce, chyashu was to die for. FYI.
